The year 2026 is just around the corner - an ideal moment to look back at the successfully concluded C&R 2025 (International HVAC & R Exhibition) in Madrid. The ThermoMate team returns with great achievements and valuable insights! The exhibition, which took place from November 18 to 20, 2025, at the IFEMA venue, was held under the theme "Innovation for Decarbonisation."
With 398 exhibitors and over 46,600 trade visitors from all over the world, forward-looking solutions were discussed on how the HVAC industry can reduce its CO2 footprint and promote sustainable development through technological innovations.
Focus on Efficiency and Intelligence As the flagship event of the European industry, C&R 2025 set clear priorities:
-
Energy Transition through Heat Pumps: The massive promotion of heat pump technologies as an efficient replacement for fossil fuels was in focus.
-
Smart Buildings: The use of building automation and control systems (BACS) was highlighted as key to increasing energy efficiency.
-
Strategic Control: A new specialist area for "Control and Regulation" underlined the growing importance of digital solutions for modern building services engineering (TGA).
Strong Synergies through Industry Coupling A special added value resulted from the simultaneous execution with GENERA (Energy and Environment) and MATELEC (Electrical and Electronics Industry). These synergy effects enabled comprehensive coverage of the entire value chain – from renewable energies to electrification and extensive digitalization.
ThermoMate presented its gas instantaneous water heaters as core products of the exhibition, perfectly tailored to the theme of "Decarbonization." We demonstrated our highly efficient instant heating technology, which helps users significantly reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions. In doing so, we make an active contribution to the low-carbon transformation of building and industrial systems.
Exhibition Highlights: ThermoMate drives "Innovation for Decarbonisation"
As part of the core trend "Low-Carbon & Smart Technology," ThermoMate's gas instantaneous water heaters are based on the principle of on-demand heating. This consistently avoids the standby energy losses typical of conventional storage water heaters. With an energy efficiency level of over 90%, annual gas consumption can be reduced by up to 17%. This not only increases the efficiency of energy management but also leads to a direct reduction in fossil fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions – an approach fully in line with the decarbonization technologies promoted at the exhibition.
Our stand design was consistently styled in ThermoMate's brand colors and offered visitors the opportunity to experience the benefits of our products first-hand: the compact, space-saving design, intelligent temperature control, and comprehensive safety features. Thus, our exhibition appearance perfectly matched the focus of the new specialist area "Control and Regulation."
Crowd-Puller: Highly Efficient Gas Instantaneous Water Heater Series
The highlight of this year's exhibition was our latest gas instantaneous water heater series, such as model GZ318LP/NG:
This model was specially developed for safe indoor use. With a constant flow rate of 12 liters per minute, it enables simultaneous hot water supply at multiple tap points without interruptions. The ECO mode significantly reduces gas consumption, while comprehensive safety features protect the device in winter and allow its use under various climatic conditions. Furthermore, thanks to particularly low NOx emissions, the device meets the strict requirements of the EU ErP directive.
These products were exhibited at the fair so that visitors could experience the devices first-hand and learn about their contribution to reducing the CO2 footprint. Compared to conventional hot water devices, the significantly lower energy consumption directly translates into a reduction in CO2 emissions.
Visitor Voices & Outlook
During the fair, we held intensive discussions with numerous European specialist dealers, HVAC engineers, and industry experts. Our products received broad recognition for their performance in intelligence and decarbonization. A trade visitor from Spain emphasized: "Given the megatrend of 'decarbonization,' this highly efficient instantaneous water heater design is exactly the solution we need to effectively drive the energy transition in buildings."
Through the synergy effects of the C&R 2025 trade fair trio, we were also able to conduct valuable discussions about future cooperation potential with partners from the fields of renewable energies and electrification. ThermoMate will consistently continue to leverage its innovative strength to lead instantaneous water heater technology into a greener and smarter future, thereby making an active contribution to global decarbonization goals.
A big thank you to all visitors to our stand! If you would like to learn more about ThermoMate's gas instantaneous water heaters, we cordially invite you to visit our official website. We are already looking forward to seeing you again next year – let's set the course for a sustainable future together!
